China Glaze, Seche and Ardell Participate in Oscar Pampering Suites

Los Angeles, CA - March, 2006 - Preparation for the movies' most magical night—The Oscars—begins days, weeks, months in advance. American International joined other beauty-minded businesses in pampering "industry types" the week of The Academy Awards. On March 3 and 4 the Scandia Hotel on Sunset Boulevard, an old-Hollywood haunt, was the sight of many mini-manicures, eyelash applications and oodles of air kissing.

Most requested nail look: Soft, refined and ladylike colors. China Glaze "Innocence" and shades from the China Glaze Wedding Collection, Exceptionally Gifted, were in demand.

Most often-uttered exclamation of surprise after faux-eyelash application:

"They look so natural!" (Favorite styles included Ardell #110's, Demi-Wispies and Demi-Pixes, all in black. Our makeup artists used Duo Eyelash Adhesive in Dark for an instant eyeliner effect.)

Nail technician Teresa Hamm gives singer Darius Danesh a manly manicure with natural nail products from Seche.

Danesh made it to the top of the UK charts with his first single "Colourblind". He entered the music scene via a popular UK TV music show called 'Pop Idol'. Hamm also showed Danesh a sample of her work, just in case he ever wanted to go for something a bit more adventurous.
